Data deletion instructions

InsiteChat.ai gives you full control over your data. This page explains exactly how to delete your account and all data we hold about you — including any information we received via Meta/Facebook login or the WhatsApp Business integration.

Option 1 — Delete from your dashboard (fastest)

  1. Sign in at insitechat.ai/login.
  2. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Account.
  3. Click Delete account and confirm.
  4. Your account, chatbots, training data, conversations, and any connected integration credentials (including WhatsApp tokens, Slack/Facebook/Google connections) are permanently removed within 30 days. Backups roll off within 60 days.

Option 2 — Email us

If you cannot sign in, email support@insitechat.ai from the address associated with your account with the subject line "Delete my data". We will verify ownership and complete deletion within 7 business days, and confirm by reply.

What gets deleted

  • Your account profile (name, email, hashed password, Google sign-in identifier)
  • All chatbots you created and their training sources (uploaded files, scraped web content, Q&A pairs, embeddings)
  • All chat conversations and lead capture data
  • Integration credentials (WhatsApp access tokens, Slack/Telegram/Facebook tokens, webhook secrets)
  • Usage logs and analytics tied to your account

What we retain (and why)

  • Payment records — kept for 7 years to satisfy tax and accounting law (Indian Income Tax Act / GST). These records do not contain card numbers.
  • Anonymised, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you (e.g., total message counts per region per day).

Deleting only Meta / Facebook login data

If you signed up using Continue with Facebook and want to remove only the data associated with that login (without deleting your whole account), email support@insitechat.ai with the subject "Revoke Facebook login". We will unlink your Facebook identifier and delete any Facebook-derived profile data within 7 business days. Your account remains active and you can continue to log in with email + password.

Disconnecting the WhatsApp Business integration

To stop AI replies on your WhatsApp number and remove the Meta access token InsiteChat stores on your behalf: go to Dashboard → your chatbot → Integrations → WhatsApp and click Disconnect. We immediately delete the Meta credentials, verify token, and webhook subscription record from our database. You should also remove the webhook from your Meta App dashboard.
