Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with InsiteChat. This policy outlines our approach to cancellations and refunds.
1. Free Trial
All new accounts receive a 14-day free trial on the Starter plan. No credit card is required. After the trial, your account automatically downgrades to the Free plan — you will not be charged.
2. Cancellation
- You can cancel your paid subscription at any time from the Billing page in your dashboard.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- You retain access to paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- After cancellation, your account downgrades to the Free plan.
- Your data (chatbots, sources, conversations) is preserved on the Free plan, subject to Free plan limits.
3. Refunds
3.1 Within 7 Days
If you are unsatisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your first payment. This applies to first-time payments only.
3.2 After 7 Days
Payments made more than 7 days ago are non-refundable. You can still cancel your subscription to prevent future charges.
3.3 Exceptions
We may issue refunds outside the 7-day window in the following cases:
- Extended service outage (more than 24 hours) caused by us
- Duplicate or accidental charges
- Service significantly not as described
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at nitish@insitechat.ai with:
- Your account email address
- Date of payment
- Reason for the refund request
We will process approved refunds within 5-10 business days via the original payment method (Razorpay).
5. Plan Changes
- Upgrades take effect immediately. You are charged the new plan price.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refund is issued for the remaining days on the higher plan.
